October 27 & 28 Conference on Urban Segregation

I am excited to partner with the team at Boston University’s Initiative on Cities to host a national conference on segregation in housing, education, and transportation. Here’s an abstract:

Urban Segregation: (Re)Conceptualization, Collaboration, Action, scheduled for October 27–28, 2025 at Boston University, is an interdisciplinary convening designed to address the mechanisms, impacts, and solutions for urban segregation in the United States. The conference will focus on interconnected policy domains – including housing, education, and transportation – as key areas through which segregation is reproduced or can be dismantled. It will integrate empirical research, policy analysis, and practical interventions, emphasizing both theoretical advancements and actionable outcomes.
